Caversham Wildlife Park: Koalas

Image
Koala means "one that never drinks". They live exclusively on eucalyptus plants, which give them very little energy. For this reason (and not, like some people think, because they are stoned or drugged by the plant) they sleep 20 hours a day. They spend the rest of the time eating and cleaning themselves by rubbing their fur with these big claws they have.

UWA Arts & Human Sciences faculty peackocks

Image
This is one one of the 6 peacocks living on campus. There are currently 2 males (one of them in the pictures above) and 4 females, one of which is entirely white. For some reason, they all chose to settle on the Arts & Human Sciences faculty, which is mine...

Some pictures of the Hackett Hall at the University of Western Australia, Perth. The Hackett Hall has been built in 1932, as well as the reflection pond. Workers went on strike halfway through the completion of this pond. The administration was quite despaired by this and didn't know what to do. At their surprise, the day after the strike stroke, they found students voluntarily finishing the construction of the pond.

Everybody knows that BIRD is the WORD!

Those are the black swans who gave its name to the Swan River. However, theses pictures have been taken on the Lake Claremont, in West Perth.
